LES MASTERS STIC

MSc on Computer Science: Ecole Centrale de Nantes - France, Warsaw University of Technology - Poland, University of Genoa - Italy.

The Masters is designed to promote a high-quality educational offer in the area of advanced and intelligent robotics. After graduation the students will have mastered the different areas of robotics (Mathematical modelling, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical design) in order to be able to deal with Robotics systems as a whole rather than just to concentrate on one particular area. The career prospects for EMARO graduates are very good as the proposed courses are relevant to today’s high technology society and because the current output of universities is insufficient to meet the demands of industry and research programmes. Students may take the master as a professional terminal degree, or join PhD programmes afterwards.

The consortium is composed of six European universities from 4 countries:
Polytech'Nantes (France), University of Lyon (France), University of Pierre & Marie Curie, Paris (France), University of Piemonte Orientale (Italy), University Politehnica of Bucharest (Romania), Technical University of Catalonia (Spain)

The main objective of the Master is to teach the students the approaches and the informatics tools necessary to perform effective Data Mining and Knowledge Management. A further goal of the Master is to initiate the students to the theoretical and/or applied research methodologies in this field.

Giving such training with a high-level of scientific expertise and cultural richness is only possible through a European consortium. Therefore, it is clear that the Master DMKM is de facto of great originality, which is highly positive for the excellence in European university training.

Master on Software Architectures [ALMA]

MSc on Computer Science: University of Nantes - France.

The Master of Science in Software Architecture prepares graduates to be practitioners and leaders in the software architecture of distributed and multimedia systems in research and industrial positions. It uses state-of-the-art technologies, methods and know-how in compliance with different standards (IEEE, OMG, ISO, etc.), allowing graduates to foresee the forthcoming technologies and also to have the necessary background to follow a Ph.D. in Computer Science.

European Master in Object Component and aspect Oriented Engineering [EMOOSE]

MSc on Computer Science: Ecole des Mines de Nantes - France, Vrije Universiteit Brussel - Belgium.

EMOOSE provides students with a solid background in Software Engineering with an emphasis on up-to-date as well as future technologies facilitating the modularization, reuse, and evolution of software. The program addresses the concepts behind these technologies, the building of languages and tools supporting the technologies, and their application to software construction, with a wide range of application domains, from information systems and ubiquitous computing to middleware and operating systems.
The Master's prepares the students for research and industrial positions where a solid background in state-of-the-art technology is required. Students also learn to work in international settings by interacting with foreign peers, professors and researchers and by going abroad and experiencing other cultural and working practices.
