AtlanSTIC
Atlanstic (CNRS FR 2819) research federation counts today more than 450 researchers.
Created in 2006, it works under the tutelage of four local institutions:
The University of Nantes, CNRS, “L’Ecole des Mines” of Nantes “L’Ecole Centrale” of Nantes
Atlanstic key objective is to develop an interdisciplinary scientific project. It wants to strengthen the visibility, clarity and attractiveness of ICT forces in Nantes.
Federation identified important local themes such as:
- Help to decision-making
- Software engineering
- Multimedia
- Mobile telecommunications.
In collaboration with IRISA and IETR, AtlanSTIC wants to create an ICT European research pole based on Nantes-Rennes axis.
Implemented actions in this direction are:
1/ Call for interlaboratory research project: 18 projects were selected and financed. Two among those projects are supported by a French national agency.
2/ MILES project submitted by Atlanstic is the prize-winner of the call for tenders "regional structuring projects on 2006" by “Pays de la Loire” local council.
3/ Participation in contract State/Regions-projects 2007-2013
4/ Official partner in « Images et Réseaux » competitive cluster
5/ Communication – Industrial and international collaboration.
